This man is the love of my life, and I can't imagine going through this world without him by my side. We've known each other for almost forty years and will be celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary in June. As you can see, he's also my hero as he puts his life on the line every time he puts on that uniform to serve and protect our community. I couldn't be prouder to call this guy my husband.

These two sweet girls are my babies, Abbey (grey) and Hayley (black). We brought these cuties home in June of 2007 when they were just 9 weeks old. Sisters from the same litter, but couldn't be more different. Besides their coloring, Abbey is our shy, quiet girl; while Hayley was our sassy one.

Both of these fur babies star as themselves in my cozy mystery/romance series as the main character's dogs.

Sadly, we said goodbye to our girl, Hayley in September 2019, and again at the end of January 2021, we had to make the very difficult decision to let our sweet Abbey girl cross over the Rainbow Bridge to be reunited with her sister. I know they're chasing bunnies, chewing bones, and snuggling on a warm blanket together. Our hearts are broken and we miss them so much.

And here we are celebrating my 50th birthday (several years ago now). This is around the time when I made the decision to come out of the closet with my writing and finish all those stories that had been rattling around in my head for decades. I'm a firm believer that it's never too late to go after your dreams, so

I finished my first novel, started a second, began my memoir, and wrote a few children's books. Literary world, here I come.

This is me at the age of 3 where my earliest memories of the written word began. Having Dr. Seuss and the Berenstain Bears read aloud to me, I became a big fan of books. Reading on my own by the time I started kindergarten, I was never without one in my hand. It was at the age of 7 when complaining to my mother that I was bored and had nothing left to read, she said the four words that changed my life-"Write your own stories." That's when it all began and my love affair with writing is still going strong.
