Here we are celebrating my 50th birthday (several years ago now). This is around the time when I made the decision to come out of the closet with my writing and finish all those stories that had been rattling around in my head for decades. I'm a firm believer that it's never too late to go after your dreams, so

I finished my first novel, started a second, began my memoir, and wrote a few children's books. Literary world, here I come.

These two sweet girls are Abbey (gray) and Hayley (black). They are sisters from the same litter and joined our family back in 2007. They brought us nothing but love and joy for the many years we had the privilege to be their humans. They are featured in my cozy mysteries as the main character's own pups. Sadly we lost them both a few years ago. We still miss them each and every day.

This man is the love of my life, and I can't imagine going through this world without him by my side. We've known each other for almost forty years and will be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary in June. As you can see, he's also my hero, as he puts his life on the line every time he puts on that uniform to serve and protect our community. I couldn't be prouder to call this guy my husband.

Let me introduce the two new members of our family, Riley and Finley. They were born June 4, 2022 and came home to us on August 8th. They are Parti miniature schnauzers and give us a run for our money on a daily basis. They're high energy, smart, sassy, and lovable. Perhaps they'll find their way into future books like their big sisters before them.

This is me at the age of 3, where my earliest memories of the written word began. Having Dr. Seuss and the Berenstain Bears read aloud to me, I became a big fan of books. Reading on my own by the time I started kindergarten, I was never without a book in my hand. It was at the age of 7 when complaining to my mother that I was bored and had nothing left to read, she said the four words that changed my life-"Write your own stories." That's when it all began, and my love affair with writing is still going strong.
